MUNA Observed Independence and National Day
News
New York: MUNA National Chapter observed 35th anniversary of Bangladesh's Independence and National Day, on March 26 at Sugonda Restaurant, McDonald Ave in Brooklyn, New York. 200 plus people attended the meeting. Br. Mahtab Uddin Ahmed, Director of Community Affairs, directed the program. Br. Abu Ahmed Nuruzzaman National president of MUNA attended as a Chief Guest and Dr. Syedur Rahman Chowdhury, National vice of MUNA attended as a special guest. Among the others, Prof. Ismaile Hossain, Mowla Sujon, Shaiful Islam Belal were deliberated their speeches.
Honorable speakers expressed opinion by saying that the historic Independence and National Day is a glorious day in our national life. They empathized on unity. The unity is a must for ensuring national development. Progress and prosperity in all aspects of national life could only be achieved if we devote ourselves in nation building and keep national interest above everything. We should remember that although we are living in USA, we should not forget who we are and where we from. It does not matter living abroad and at home, to work united with continued efforts aimed at up liftmen of society, economic self-reliance and democratic advancement.
They urged to audience, do not forget that we are not only Bangladeshi; we are also part of the American Society. So our responsibility is raising our children with good character and morality and it is possible only if we teach them Islamic Ideology and culture and help them to follow Islam in their daily life. At the end Br. Mahtab Uddin Ahmed gave conclusive speech and prayer. He gave thanks to audience for coming. Also diner was served among the audience.
