And your
Lord says:"Call on Me; I will answer your (prayer)."
Du'a
All Praise is due to Allah. We praise Him,
and we seek his help and forgiveness. We
seek Allah's refuge from the evil within
ourselves and from our evil actions. Whomever
Allah guides, there is none to misguide
him; and whomever Allah misguides, there
is none to guide him. I bear witness that
none has the right to be worshiped except
Allah, Alone without any partner whatsoever;
and I bear witness that Muhammad (PBUH)
is His slave and Messenger. May Allah shower
His Peace and Blessing upon Prophet Muhammad
(PBUH), his family, companions, all those
who follow them with righteousness till
the Day of Judgment.
One of the excellent manners one needs to
observe and one's tongue needs to repeat
is that of frequently remembering Allah.
This should be accompanied with true faith,
sincerity, total submission, and an alert
heart with which supplicant or worshipper
remembers Allah's Greatness, Total Ability
and Might, His Absolute knowledge, and recognize
His right to be worshipped Alone
There are numerous Qur'anic verses and authentic prophetic
traditions on the virtues of the remembrance of Allah
and supplications as well as those on urging the be
livers to observe them. Some supplications from the
Qur'an and Sunnah are mentioned here.
Supplications From The Qur'an
Du'a 1. "Praise to be Allah,
the Cherisher and Sustainer of the Worlds, Most Gracious,
Most Merciful; Master of the Day of Judgment. You
do we worship, and your aid do we seek. Show us Straight
way. The way of those on whom you have bestowed your
grace, those whose is not wrath, and who do not go
astray." (Surah Al-Fatiha (1)
Ayah:1-7)
Du'a 2. "Our Lord! Give us
what is good in this world and good in the Hereafter,
and protect us from the torment of the Fire!". (Surah
Al-Baqara (2) Ayah:201)
