| Allah is the personal name
of Allah. Nothing else can be called Allah. The term has
no plural or gender. The word "Allah" is unique,
which cannot be compared with or replaced by any other words.
The one Allah is a reflection of the unique concept that
Islam associates with Allah. Allah says about Himself in
Qur'an as follows :-
"Say: He is Allah the one,
and the only; Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; He has not begotten
, nor has been begotten; and there is none equal to him."
(Qur'an 112: Al-Iklas:1-4)
"But Allah is the creator
of all things, and He is the Guardian and Disposer of all
affairs. To him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth,
and those who reject the Signs of Allah, - it is they who
will be in loss."
(Qur'an 39:Zumar:62-63)
"There is no moving creature
on earth but its sustenance depends on Allah: He knows the
time and place of its definite abode and its temporary deposit:
all is in a clear record."
(Qur'an 11:Hud:6)
Allah also has Ninety Nine Attributes.
Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet of Allah (peace be upon
him) said:
Allah has ninety-nine Names, ie one - hundred minus one,
and whoever believes in their meanings and act accordingly,
will enter Paradise; and Allah is Witt (One) and loves 'the
Witt). (AI-Bukhar).
Allah said in Qur'an Say: Call upon Allah,
or call upon Rahman: by whatever names you call upon Him,
(it is well): For to Him belong the Most Beautiful Names.
Neither speak your Prayer aloud, nor speak it in a low tone,
but seek a middle course between". (Qur'an
17: 110)
Allah! There is no god but He! To Him belong the Most
Beautiful Names". (Quran
20:8).
Allah is The One and the Most Beautiful things we can think
of are referable to Him. His names refer to His attributes
which are like titles of Honor and Glory.
